Last updated: June 2026

Before You Contact Us

Booze.co.uk is published by Alcohol Ltd and is regulated by IPSO. Editorial complaints are considered against the Editors' Code of Practice, including the requirements on accuracy, privacy, harassment, discrimination, and fair handling of complaints.

This route is for editorial content published by Booze.co.uk. Paid press releases are advertiser-supplied commercial material and should be raised through the complaint link on the relevant press release page.

What to Include

To help us assess your concern quickly, please include:

  • The article URL and article title.
  • The specific information you believe is inaccurate, misleading, or distorted.
  • Any supporting evidence, source documents, or links.
  • The outcome you are seeking, such as a correction, clarification, update, apology, or right of reply.
  • Your name and contact details so we can respond.

Who Can Complain

If the complaint is about how you were directly covered, you can complain to us directly. If you are complaining on behalf of someone else, please explain your relationship to that person and include written consent from the person directly affected wherever possible.

IPSO Time Limits

IPSO normally considers complaints made within 12 months of online publication or within 4 months of print publication. We will still review accuracy concerns sent to us, but these IPSO time limits may affect whether IPSO can consider a later complaint.

How We Handle Reports

We acknowledge complaints promptly, assess the material complained about, preserve the relevant version of the article, and check the evidence against the Editors' Code of Practice. Where a significant inaccuracy, misleading statement, or distortion is established, we correct it promptly and with due prominence. Where appropriate, we may also publish a clarification, apology, update, or right of reply.

If you later complain to IPSO, the IPSO process normally gives the publication a 28-day referral period to try to resolve the complaint internally before IPSO decides whether to investigate.
