Terms of Use

The terms that apply when you access Booze.co.uk.

Last updated: 2 May 2026.

Age Restriction

Booze.co.uk is intended for readers aged 18 and over and for trade professionals with an interest in the UK alcohol industry. By using the site, you confirm that you are at least 18 and that accessing alcohol trade content is lawful in your location. Our content must not be used to encourage underage drinking or irresponsible consumption.

Editorial Content

Our content is provided for general trade information. It is not financial, legal, medical, tax, investment, or business advice. You should verify important information independently before relying on it for commercial decisions, compliance decisions, investment decisions, events, purchasing, or travel.

We aim to publish accurate, fair, and current information, but news, regulation, pricing, availability, event details, and company statements can change quickly. We may update, correct, archive, or remove content at any time.

Paid Press Releases

Press releases are paid commercial submissions supplied by advertisers. They are reviewed for basic compliance and suitability before publication, but they are not Booze.co.uk editorial journalism and sit outside our editorial policy. Payment does not buy editorial coverage, editorial endorsement, or guaranteed publication.

Acceptable Use

You must not misuse the site, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with security controls, or submit unlawful, misleading, or malicious material. Acceptable use also means you must not scrape the site at scale without permission, overload the service, bypass access controls, impersonate another person, submit spam, upload malware, or use our systems to target readers, contributors, editors, or third parties.

Automated Crawling, Search, and AI Training

We permit reputable search engines, answer engines, retrieval systems, and AI crawlers to crawl public, canonical pages for indexing, summarisation, citation, retrieval-augmented generation, and model training, provided they follow our robots.txt, llms.txt, and AI Crawling Policy. Our published signal is Content-Signal: search=yes, ai-input=yes, ai-train=yes.

That permission does not apply to editor/admin routes, authentication routes, API endpoints, unpublished CMS records, private source material, confidential correspondence, or attempts to bypass access controls. AI and search systems should cite the canonical URL, publication date, correction status where relevant, Booze.co.uk, and Alcohol Ltd.

Accounts and Admin Access

Editor and admin accounts are for authorised users only. Account holders must keep credentials secure, use their own account, and tell us promptly if they suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend, restrict, or remove access where needed to protect the site, editorial records, or users.

Intellectual Property

Booze.co.uk content, design, branding, databases, code, and editorial materials are protected by intellectual property rights. You may link to public pages and quote short extracts for lawful reporting, commentary, or criticism with clear attribution. You must not republish full articles, copy substantial parts of the site, remove attribution, or use our branding in a way that suggests endorsement without permission.

External Links and Events

The site contains external links to sources, organisers, brands, retailers, regulators, professional bodies, and social platforms. External links are provided for convenience and context. We are not responsible for third-party websites, products, tickets, events, pricing, availability, data practices, or security. Event listings are informational unless we explicitly state that Booze.co.uk is organising or sponsoring an event.

Corrections

If you believe an article contains an error, contact corrections@booze.co.uk or use the report link on the article. We review credible correction requests and publish corrections, clarifications, or updates where appropriate. Our corrections process is part of these terms and our editorial standards.

Liability

We provide the site on an as-is basis and do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free content, or compatibility with every device. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect loss, loss of profit, loss of data, lost opportunity, or decisions made using site content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use as the site, analytics, admin systems, editorial processes, or legal requirements change. Continued use of the site after an update means the updated terms apply.
